The Ladurns alpine pasture area is just as beautiful and charming in summer. A real highlight is our mountain carts, which are fun, motorless sports equipment that lets both young and old zoom down a 6.5 km winding route with underpasses from the cable car's mountain station. This area is also a great starting point for family hikes, leisurely strolls, and high alpine adventures for mountaineers. Don't miss the alpine pasture hike and the Dolomieu trail; they're highly recommended.

Mountain biking from Telfes to Mareit

Starting from our hotel, the bike path heads toward Sterzing. We then veer right and ride to Telfes. After that, we take a left toward Mareit. Finally, we follow the bike path along the stream back to Sterzing and return to where we started.

Mountain Biking Prantneralm - Hühnerspiel

The ride starts at the Sterzing train station, then heads briefly into the Pfitschertal, taking a pleasant incline through the small hamlets of Flains and Schmuders to the Braunhof. Shortly after, it continues on a nice gravel road to the Pranteralm. From there, it goes up and down over the Riedbergalm and Platzeralm to the Hühnerspielhütte. After that, it’s a steep descent in winding turns on a somewhat rough road down to Gossensaß, and then back towards Sterzing to the hotel.

Mountain Biking Zirog - Schlüsseljoch – Pfitsch

The Schlüsseljoch is a mountain pass that stands at 2212 meters in the Tux ridge of the Zillertal Alps. It connects the Wipptal with the Pfitscher valley. You can access it from the Wipptal, about 750 m south of Brennerbad, by taking a small mountain road that leads to the Zirogalm, which sits at 1750 m and is open to the public (mostly paved, but later it turns into a road). From the Enzianhütte, also open to the public at 1895 m, the path to the pass follows an old mule track. On the Pfitscher valley side, you can reach the Schlüsseljoch via a steep old military track (coarse gravel) from the Mussolini era. After that, it’s a descent into the Pfitscher valley and then out towards Sterzing back to the hotel.

The route takes you from Sölden to South Tyrol and back to where it all began. For many athletes, conquering this challenge has been a long-time dream. Out of thousands who apply, only 4,000 get the chance to turn that dream into reality each year. They eagerly anticipate one of the coveted and limited spots. In September, the legend of Ötztaler draws cycling fans from around the globe. After tough mountain stages, the dream finally becomes a reality for many participants when they cross the finish line.

Cycle Path Pflerschtal

It starts in the village of Colle Isarco, following the railway line, and then takes you through the peaceful mountain valley all the way to the end, where you'll find the charming mountain village of St. Anton. You can only get there by car using the toll road to the Auronzo Hut, or you can take a shuttle bus from Toblach, but you'll need to make an online reservation and pay in advance. In the summer, there are also several hiking routes that lead to the Three Peaks.

Seiser Alm + Schlern + Rosengarten

The Schlern is a striking mountain block and, along with the Santner and Euringer towers, is one of South Tyrol's iconic landmarks. The Rosengarten massif, famous for its many towers, is well-known even outside the country. One of the standout peaks in the massif, the Kesselkogel, reaches an impressive height of 3,002 m. The nature park also encompasses the mountain forests around Seis, Völs, and Tiers, as well as the Tschamintal.

The Seiser Alm isn’t accessible with the car from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. During those hours, you can take a train or bus to get there. Keep in mind that all parking spots on the Seiser Alm come with a fee, and parking is off-limits from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.
